On April 30th I turned eighteen years old. Now normally I find my birthday to be a joyous occaison, there is typically cake involved and presents and just a general euphora because I was born on this day many years ago. However my 18th was not so special. You see I chaperoned the grade ten Ottawa trip…big mistake. I was completely shocked at how some of the grade tens treated us chaperons. We were repeatedly told to “Fuck off” and when one chaperon asked a girl to put her shoes on while she was in the hallways at the hotel the girl said back “who the Fuck do you think you are.” Needless to say they weren’t very pleasant. I was on the night shift for the trip and all my friends were on the day shift, so while they were out partying at night I was all alone dealing with kids who got their head stuck in the revolving door at the hotel, and while they went with the group during the day I was alone in the hotel room. Finally the day came to go home (my birthday) We got into the bus and started our journey back and we tan into into stand still traffic! We literally were moving a couple of inches and then stopping for hours. I spent my birthday on a bus with snotty grade tens in traffic. When I got home I had to sing at a concert and it ended up going so late that I couldn’t even go out for supper with my family. This was my not so happy 18th birthday
=(
Well, that sucks. If I had come, I wouldda stayed on night shift just with you!
Grade 10s are little shits. Grade 9s are scared… grade 10s try too hard to prove themselves and are the worst age.
Sorry about that.
But, if it makes you feel better just know that… Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.
Huh, man sounds like a bummer! I hope you get to do something next weekend for it! And grade tens are awful!… I know I was one two years ago and yes, I probably did think I was the Shit… So I appologize to the people I was rude to. I know a couple of people who are teachers and they say grade tens are actually the worst to teach! Gr 9′s are new and still a little scared, then gr 10 comes and the think they rule the school cause there not the little ones anymore. By the time they hit gr 11 they have grown up a bit and realize how they shoulc act. And gr 12. Well. We are perfect.
ha ha kidding…
Unfortunately there are some people who never grow up. Those are the assholes we talk about in every grade. But I do tend to find grade 10s the worst. Case in point: The Remembrance Assembly. Those grade 10s should have been beaten up. Everyone was so pissed off with them. Remembrance Day is NOT something to make fun of. Little children BURNING ALIVE from a war they are not even a part of is NOT funny. A day that is made for all the people who DIED so we could live in freedom is NOT funny. I was so close to beating those little shits up. I don’t think I realized how annoying they really are until I took a step back and looked.
Ya it was an interesting experience…I just feel sorry for the teachers who have to deal with them every year!
Stupid grade 10s
okay I was the one who wrote that post from Jane…just so there is no confusion…
